The Trouble with Dreams 2014
The Trouble with Dreams 2014, Sugrue, Sussex, England
Dermot Sugrue is best known for being the winemaker of Wiston and previously Nyetimber, but his solo project Sugrue is really not to be missed. The current 2014 vintage was awarded Gold at IWC and more recently, Sugrue was given the highest rating of all English producers by Hugh Johnson in his Pocket Wine Book 2020. The majority of grapes came from the exceptional Mount Harry Vineyard near Lewes, in East Sussex. This is a blend of 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir, for it's first fermentation 50% of the wine was fermented in old oak barriques before ageing in bottle
